In the National Guard will I have to postpone college plans for Training? ? ?

I really thinking about enlisting the National Guard.. I have been researching it.. However I'm confused... about it.. I'm 19 and a junior in college majoring in Nursing.. and I need more stucture and stuff in my life. Will I have to postpone my college plans to go to basic training and AIT.. and how soon will I start getting paid?? Please Help Thanks... n ppl who really know what they are talking about please!!!
