What qualifications do i need to be a nurse?

I want to study to be a nurse. I'm doing my GCSE's at the moment, studying English, Welsh, Maths, Science, French, Geography, Religious Education and psychology. Which of these will I need to study A Level?? I would love to work in America as a nurse after I graduate.
