Under the duty of care are teachers legally obliged?

to report suspected cases of child abuse/ neglect? I mean are they legally bound to rather than just morally bound to like everyone else in the country. As a nurse I am and just wondered if similar rules apply to teachers (and others with responsibility eg police/ fire service etc)?
