Question about Niagara Falls?

for the 4th of July we decided to take a family trip to Niagara falls for the weekend. We were wondering, what is there to do besides watching the waterfall and taking the boat ride up to it? We will most likely stay on the US side. Thanks for any tips :) We are looking for any touristy attractions and good places to eat. thanks!
